Project Description

A change is as good as a holiday, they say. In this case, a major change was the condition for an extended “holiday”. When your home has good bones and is in a location you love, it’s well worth renovating it into your dream home. It may be mostly cosmetic changes or it may involve major works… either way, a beautiful transformation will be sure to turn your home into “where the heart is”.

Presentation is everything.

Cuttriss Residence – Ocean Reef

After a year of living abroad with a young family, Jenny’s one request was a renovation of their tired home. The Cuttriss brief asked for a transitional style combining contemporary and industrial. The project involved major structural changes to convert the kitchen into an open-plan area (furniture to be purchased in 2017). This change allows light to flood into the previously-dark living area and dining area, makes for an open space to keep an eye on the little ones as well as socialise with guests, allows for better flow and dramatically increases the value of the property. The bathroom was also extended and floor level raised to create nothing short of a magazine-worthy heavenly retreat. The laundry was completely transformed and storage maximised, and includes handy “secrets” such as a pull-out ironing board and linen basket. To finish it all off, stunning timber-look porcelain tiles were laid throughout all areas, unifying all rooms and providing a smooth flow through the home. I could not be more proud of the finished result and I love the difference it made for the clients who were an absolute delight to work with!
