Looking to completely refresh their home and bring in their own personalities, this young family decided that the 12th birthday of their daughter was the perfect excuse to extend her bedroom makeover to some more of the house! Having outgrown her tired bedroom and looking to have a space she loved to spend time in, the makeover allowed her to explore this new exciting pre-teen stage where our childhood blends with the new “us”! The old office space was also transformed to reflect her new interests and hobbies, and in-keeping with what “the cool kids” want these days! Having created her new favourite spaces, it was time to update the open plan to create a beautiful, welcoming, fresh and fun scheme! More and more, our living areas have become where we prefer to work as well, allowing us to be involved in our family’s daily life in a more social manner… but this doesn’t mean sitting on the sofa with a laptop precariously balanced on our lap! Lucky enough to have a nice spacious dining area to work with, a dedicated desk area was added while still flowing perfectly with living and dining to create a harmonious yet functional open plan.
