And now for something completely different! My client contacted me uncertain if I could help as their terrace didn’t classify as “interiors”, but why should beautiful design be restricted by 4 walls? Having bought a home with a terrace offering city views but not much else going for it, they longed to transform it into an inviting and exciting space to both relax and entertain by day and by night! Walking into their home I noticed they had developed a love for Brazil, so what better idea than giving them their own piece of Rio de Janeiro? By creatively concealing the limestone bricks (which clashed dramatically with the red brick and the grey tiles) through lush greenery, natural bamboo and a gorgeous custom-made mural of Ipanema’s famous mosaic sidewalk, they can transport themselves back to paradise whenever they need a break from reality! Topped off with a stunning rainforest wallpaper in the hallway, this home is now forever a tribute to their travels.
