With a genius stroke of forward thinking, these clients had a new beam installed above their kitchen and meals area when having their roof replaced, which would allow them to create their dream kitchen in the future. Longing for  a modern kitchen in an open-plan format so nobody would be separate when entertaining or winding down for the evening, the constraining walls just had to go! From spending hours planning exactly how they would use their kitchen and what items would be stored where, to trusting my suggestion of light blue subway tiles to inject life and keep with the clients’ fun and unique personal styles, what resulted is a large open space that looks both practical and inviting, complementing the adjacent areas and offering the clients a space they will enjoy for many years to come in what they hope to be their forever home.
